A Brief History

The Healing Center

The Healing Center / Holistic Clinic quickly filled the 3,500 square feet facility in September of 2000. Initially offering acupuncture, chiropractics, and massage, the menu of services eventually grew to include more diverse massage styles (such as Zen Therapy and Reiki), nutrition, yoga, homeopathy, and colonics. (Please see All Services for a complete list of current practices.) In November 2003, a seventh room was added to the expanded practice.

Ellen Shulman, Director of the Center

Ellen Shulman is a licensed Acupuncturist and practiced as a medical doctor in Russia for 13 years as a neurologist.  She completed advanced studies in both neurology and acupuncture. Receiving her Master of Acupuncture degree in 1996, Ellen Shulman was the first student from the New England School of Acupuncture to train in the Republic of China.
